I enhanced the text color contrast in the design system to align with WCAG AA standards, ensuring readability across various backgrounds. This involved adjusting secondary and tertiary text colors to increase contrast ratios, making essential information more accessible and legible for all users.
I redefined chart color schemes within the dedicated charts design system to include high-contrast, color-blind-friendly palettes. This update ensures data visualizations are clearer and accessible to users with color vision deficiencies.

I identified that excessive use of the brand red caused confusion as users associated it with destructive actions. Through user research and testing, I confirmed this perception and replaced neutral red elements with dark grey, reserving red for promotive contexts. This change improved user clarity, reduced hesitation, and maintained brand integrity, leading to a more intuitive and trusted user experience.

I created comprehensive documentation for the design system, streamlining onboarding for new designers by providing clear guidelines, component libraries, and use-case examples. By implementing the design improvements discussed – I significantly improved the user experience of the UBS Bank mobile app. These changes addressed user pain points, increased usability, and fostered trust, which collectively contributed to higher user satisfaction.
